Seven Triglav Lakes Long Weekender

 

A round-trip walking tour through the mountains of The Julian Alps incorporating the 7 lakes of The Triglav Valley.

If you are short on time, this trip can be also be condensed into a 3 night break - ideal for those Bank Holiday weekends.

 

Day 1
Arrive, Transfer from airport to Penzion. Meeting to discuss itinerary.
Day 2
After breakfast you will be transferred to Bohinj and take the cable car to Vogel from where we will commence our walk to Komna. Lunch will be taken ‘picnic-style’ and we will walk to Dom na Komni (1520m) (cottage on Komna) where we will stay overnight. Dinner, bed and breakfast at the Dom is included in the price of your stay. Total walking time approximately 5 hours.
Day 3
After breakfast, we will continue our walk through the beautiful scenery of The Seven Triglav Lakes Valley. We will visit the first of the lakes (those wishing to visit them all can take the optional trip through the valley - an additional 2 hours each way). We end our day at Koca pri Triglavski Jezerih (1685m) (cottage at Triglavski Lakes). Dinner, bed and breakfast at the Koca is included in the price of your stay. Total walking time approximately 5 hours (plus additional optional 4 hours).
Day 4
After breakfast, we continue our walk before making our descent to Stara Fuzina where your transport will await and return you to Bled. Overnight at the penzion.
Day 5
Morning at leisure in Bled – visit the castle, walk round the lake, shop etc. Afternoon transfers to airport

2 nights Penzion accommodation with breakfast, 2 nights half-board accommodation in Mountain Huts, return airport transfers and transfers to/from walk start/finish, cable car entrance fee, Guide(s) from Slovene Mountain Association.

Not included:

Flights, insurance, food and drink other than that listed above.

Note:
Whilst it helps if you are a regular walker, you don’t have to be superfit to enjoy this walk and no special equipment or training is required other than a good pair of strong, sturdy walking boots, practical walking clothes and a good rucksack. The plan incorporates ample opportunities for rest and enjoying the nature, flora and fauna of The Julian Alps
